Made for this moment

Two rivers. Your story.
At sky scale.

The Comal and Guadalupe rivers, Landa Park, and Gruene’s music traditions offer distinct ways to frame a New Braunfels event. We shape the show around your gathering, then connect the creative idea with a practical launch area and a clear audience view.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Rooted in New Braunfels

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

A river-town rhythm in light

The Comal and Guadalupe can inspire flowing movement and changing color. The performance plan still needs a defined flight footprint, with river users, trees, paths, and adjacent properties considered from the beginning.

A community celebration with German roots

Wurstfest connects local gatherings with German culture and music. Your own community occasion can draw on the traditions its guests share without implying participation in, or a partnership with, the festival.

Carry the music beyond the last song

Gruene Hall gives the area a recognizable live-music reference. A music-led concept would need separate outdoor viewing and launch arrangements; the indoor dance hall itself is not an open-sky performance space.

A company gathering away from the conference room

For a retreat, business anniversary, or product reveal, we can turn a simple idea into a closing brand image. Hotel grounds and event properties need review for usable land, neighboring activity, and guest sightlines.

A wedding story among the trees

Names or a shared symbol can become the final formation for a private celebration. River and garden properties often bring mature trees and uneven terrain into the plan, so send the venue address and possible launch parcel early.

Protect the setting that makes it special

Landa Park includes Comal Springs and busy public amenities. Site planning considers habitat, public access, park restrictions, and audience separation alongside New Braunfels National Airport and regional military training activity.

Discuss any concept with the private-events team. An aerial component would require separate suitable outdoor land and sightlines beyond the indoor hall and surrounding trees.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& FAA approvals.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

For each proposed show, we check current FAA maps, NOTAMs, temporary flight restrictions, and the complete flight area. Nearby airports and military facilities are part of that review, alongside other local aviation activity.

New Braunfels National Airport

New Braunfels

Official facility information

A towered airport with general aviation and flight training. Review the precise show coordinates, altitude, current controlled airspace, and notices for the event date.

JBSA-Randolph and Seguin Auxiliary Airfield

Universal City and Seguin · outside New Braunfels

Official facility information

Military training flights and transitions are relevant to the regional review. Check current notices, airspace, and installation restrictions; an event booking does not authorize military-area operations.

San Antonio International Airport

San Antonio · wider region

Official facility information

Check current regional airspace and arrival routes for the actual site and altitude. Its presence in the region does not mean every Hill Country venue has the same authorization requirements.

FAA airspace authorization

Where the flight area requires controlled-airspace authorization, we identify the applicable FAA process. LAANC may be available for eligible operations; airspace authorization for operations using an operational waiver follows the FAA’s designated process through FAADroneZone. An airport phone call is not a substitute for the required FAA authorization.

FAA authorization guidance

Stadiums & event restrictions

Qualifying sporting events can trigger temporary flight restrictions affecting stadiums and surrounding areas. We review the applicable notices and show timing; venue permission or a routine airspace authorization alone does not remove these restrictions.

FAA stadium guidance

Show operations & ground permissions

The show plan also determines operational waiver requirements, including a multiple-aircraft waiver where one pilot operates multiple drones. New operational waiver applications use the FAA’s Aviation Safety Hub. Venue and landowner permission, crowd separation, and any local event permits are handled alongside the aviation review.

FAA waiver guidance

Military & sensitive sites

Military installation restrictions are separate from routine controlled-airspace authorization and ground permissions. Check current designated restrictions for the complete proposed flight area.
