Made for this moment

A city that gathers around a team.
At sky scale.

Frisco’s sports campuses, public gathering places, and company events give each audience a different reason to look up. We design around that reason, from a team-color opening to a personal or brand reveal, with the setting reviewed before the performance plan is agreed.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Whatever brings you together.

Your occasion sets the direction. We shape the creative around it.

Show imagery illustrates creative possibilities, rather than performances at specific Frisco venues.

Rooted in Frisco

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

A fan moment built for your crowd

Soccer at Toyota Stadium and baseball at Riders Field are different ways Frisco comes together. A show can use motion and color to build anticipation, with any team identity cleared for use and a flight footprint outside the crowd.

An outdoor welcome at The Star

Tostitos Championship Plaza connects outdoor gatherings with the wider Star campus. A corporate reception concept needs to account for rooflines, adjoining businesses, guest circulation, and where formations would actually be visible.

Community celebrations beyond the stadium

Frisco Commons brings trails, play areas, a pond, and an amphitheater into one park. A community-night proposal must protect public access and work through the City’s event process; its amphitheater is not available for ordinary rental.

A launch that gives the idea room

A product reveal or company anniversary can begin with a simple symbol and develop into a larger message. At hospitality and mixed-use settings, we review the relationship between guests, buildings, and a separate launch property.

Names above a private celebration

For a wedding or family milestone in Frisco or toward Prosper, the closing formation can be something only your guests recognize. Tree cover, residential neighbors, access, and the site’s evening use help shape the plan.

Design for the venue as it will be

Toyota Stadium is undergoing phased renovations. Current construction boundaries, cranes, available entrances, and the event’s audience layout need to be checked before choosing a flight area or promising a particular view.

Soccer stadium

Toyota Stadium

Frisco, Texas

Phased renovation is underway, with west and north areas closed from fall 2026 under the published plan. Confirm construction conditions, event access, operator permission, and flight feasibility.

Minor-league ballpark

Riders Field

Frisco, Texas

The RoughRiders’ home is a potential operator-led event discussion. Its published guest rules prohibit unmanned aerial vehicles; a professional show needs explicit venue agreement and independent aviation review.

Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star

Frisco, Texas

The outdoor plaza can host private gatherings. Review neighboring structures, open-air sightlines, crowd flow, and a separate launch site with the operator.

Frisco Commons Park

City-led feasibility review is essential: the amphitheater is not available for rent. Trails, play areas, trees, park hours, and public access constrain any proposed event.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& FAA approvals.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

For each proposed show, we check current FAA maps, NOTAMs, temporary flight restrictions, and the complete flight area. Nearby airports and military facilities are part of that review, alongside other local aviation activity.

Addison Airport

Addison · outside Frisco and Plano

Official facility information

A relevant general-aviation airport for the northern Dallas area. Review the performance volume, controlled-airspace boundaries, and aircraft activity for the chosen venue.

McKinney National Airport

McKinney · outside Frisco and Plano

Official facility information

Include this airport in the review for eastern and northern event locations. Consult current airport information and FAA notices rather than relying on an old map or airport code.

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

DFW metro · southwest of Frisco and Plano

Official facility information

Review regional controlled airspace at the requested altitude and coordinates. A clear-looking field does not establish an authorized flight area.

NAS Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth

Fort Worth · wider region, outside Frisco and Plano

Official facility information

Relevant when an event plan extends west across the metro. Military installation restrictions and any applicable military airspace require their own review.

FAA airspace authorization

Where the flight area requires controlled-airspace authorization, we identify the applicable FAA process. LAANC may be available for eligible operations; airspace authorization for operations using an operational waiver follows the FAA’s designated process through FAADroneZone. An airport phone call is not a substitute for the required FAA authorization.

FAA authorization guidance

Stadiums & event restrictions

Qualifying sporting events can trigger temporary flight restrictions affecting stadiums and surrounding areas. We review the applicable notices and show timing; venue permission or a routine airspace authorization alone does not remove these restrictions.

FAA stadium guidance

Show operations & ground permissions

The show plan also determines operational waiver requirements, including a multiple-aircraft waiver where one pilot operates multiple drones. New operational waiver applications use the FAA’s Aviation Safety Hub. Venue and landowner permission, crowd separation, and any local event permits are handled alongside the aviation review.

FAA waiver guidance

Military & sensitive sites

Military installation restrictions are separate from routine controlled-airspace authorization and ground permissions. Check current designated restrictions for the complete proposed flight area.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Frisco?

What should we check first when planning an event in Frisco?

Stadium construction and venue access can change. Confirm the event-date layout rather than relying on photographs or a previous seating plan. Send the event date, venue address, viewing area, and intended show height so we can begin the site review.

Can you plan a drone show at my Frisco venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside downtown Frisco?

We welcome enquiries for Frisco and surrounding communities. Stadium construction and venue access can change. Confirm the event-date layout rather than relying on photographs or a previous seating plan. Share the full venue address so we can review the actual event location.

Can the show include our logo, names, or music?

Yes. We design formations, colors, animation, and choreography around your story. Tell us which brand elements, personal details, and music matter to the event so we can discuss the creative direction.

How much does an event in Frisco cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
