Made for this moment

A Fresno story, in light.
At sky scale.

Downtown baseball, the Tower District’s arts scene, and the gathering spaces around Woodward Park give Fresno events distinct starting points. We develop the show around your audience, then connect the design with a site plan suited to the actual venue.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Rooted in Fresno

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

Bring the valley’s story into the design

Agriculture and the cultural life of the San Joaquin Valley can inspire more than a skyline outline. A show might move from a familiar local motif into your event’s own message. We choose clear images and movement that read from the main viewing area.

A community evening around the stage

Woodward Park’s Rotary Amphitheater offers a performance context, while its trees and surrounding park activity shape the planning questions. A drone finale would need a separate launch area and operator review. The park’s size alone does not confirm a clear flight footprint.

A downtown fan gathering

Chukchansi Park brings baseball into the downtown setting. Team colors or a licensed graphic can help connect a fan event to its audience. Review the actual event notices, neighboring streets, audience position, and available operational space rather than assuming every ballpark event follows the same restrictions.

A reveal for the people behind the business

A food-industry milestone, company anniversary, or regional conference can begin with the work your team does. We can build a short sequence from an idea into a closing mark or message. Travel, site conditions, and creative scope guide the quote.

An arts-led private celebration

The Tower District and Fresno’s wider creative community offer inspiration for an event with its own visual voice. For a wedding or private gathering, approved artwork, a name, or a personal symbol can become the final image. The proposed property is reviewed before the production is confirmed.

Two city airports, plus the wider region

Fresno Yosemite International and Fresno Chandler Executive are distinct facilities in the site review. Naval Air Station Lemoore becomes relevant when plans extend into its wider region. We also consider valley heat, visibility, weather, and ground access for the proposed event.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& FAA approvals.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

For each proposed show, we check current FAA maps, NOTAMs, temporary flight restrictions, and the complete flight area. Nearby airports and military facilities are part of that review, alongside other local aviation activity.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT)

Fresno, California

Official facility information

Review the actual show volume, height, date, and current controlled-airspace information. Nearby event grounds do not come with automatic clearance.

Fresno Chandler Executive Airport (FCH)

Fresno, California · west of downtown

Official facility information

A separate aviation consideration from FAT. Include aircraft activity and current airspace in downtown and west-side site review.

Naval Air Station Lemoore

Kings / Fresno County region, California · outside the immediate Fresno metro

Official facility information

Relevant when plans extend southwest toward Lemoore. Review military and special-use airspace, installation restrictions, and current notices for that location.

FAA airspace authorization

Where the flight area requires controlled-airspace authorization, we identify the applicable FAA process. LAANC may be available for eligible operations; airspace authorization for operations using an operational waiver follows the FAA’s designated process through FAADroneZone. An airport phone call is not a substitute for the required FAA authorization.

FAA authorization guidance

Stadiums & event restrictions

Qualifying sporting events can trigger temporary flight restrictions affecting stadiums and surrounding areas. We review the applicable notices and show timing; venue permission or a routine airspace authorization alone does not remove these restrictions.

FAA stadium guidance

Show operations & ground permissions

The show plan also determines operational waiver requirements, including a multiple-aircraft waiver where one pilot operates multiple drones. New operational waiver applications use the FAA’s Aviation Safety Hub. Venue and landowner permission, crowd separation, and any local event permits are handled alongside the aviation review.

California State Parks drone guidance

District rules, park management plans, commercial activity, and land-use permissions must be checked for the specific park. A park event reservation does not establish flight permission.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Fresno?

What should we send for a Fresno park or ballpark event?

Send the venue address, date, audience plan, and any proposed launch location. We review operator permissions, park or street access, airspace, event notices, and weather contingencies before confirming a production approach.

Can you plan a drone show at my Fresno venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside downtown Fresno?

We can review event plans in Fresno and surrounding communities, including Clovis, Madera, Sanger. Each property needs its own assessment of access, audience positions, airspace, and flight space.

Can the show include our logo, names, or music?

Yes. We design formations, colors, animation, and choreography around your story. Tell us which brand elements, personal details, and music matter to the event so we can discuss the creative direction.

How much does an event in Fresno cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
