Made for this moment

A little Anaheim wonder.
At sky scale.

Anaheim brings together convention visitors, sports crowds, and the neighborhoods beyond the resort district. Your show can give those guests a shared closing moment, shaped around the reason they came and the place they will watch from.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Rooted in Anaheim

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

Beyond the resort postcard

The Anaheim Resort and the city’s convention activity offer one version of a local celebration; downtown and Pearson Park offer another. We start with your audience’s connection to the city, then build a visual story with a distinct beginning, reveal, and finale.

A conference message after dark

For a trade-show reception or product launch, guests need a clear reason to step outside together. A short sequence could connect a product shape to your closing message. Hotel buildings, pedestrian routes, neighboring events, and the separate flight footprint determine how that transition could work.

A hometown gathering at Pearson Park

The historic amphitheatre suggests a performance-led community night. The surrounding palms, park activity, and audience direction are part of the production brief. A reservable event space still needs a separate assessment of launch separation and what guests can actually see.

Colors for the fans in the stands

Angels and Ducks events bring different schedules and viewing conditions. Team colors and approved marks can anchor a fan celebration, but an indoor arena needs an exterior audience plan. Qualifying baseball events also require their own review of temporary flight restrictions.

A private milestone with its own magic

For an anniversary, wedding, or family celebration, the final formation might be a name or an image with personal meaning. We review the specific Anaheim property before design work moves too far: an attractive courtyard is not necessarily a suitable launch site.

Entertainment airspace is still airspace

The resort area includes special aviation restrictions that must be checked for the exact flight volume and date. Fullerton Airport and other Orange County facilities also belong in the review. Neither an event booking nor a theme-park backdrop grants permission for a flight.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& FAA approvals.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

For each proposed show, we check current FAA maps, NOTAMs, temporary flight restrictions, and the complete flight area. Nearby airports and military facilities are part of that review, alongside other local aviation activity.

Fullerton Municipal Airport (FUL)

Fullerton, California · north Orange County

Official facility information

Review the actual show location, altitude, current airspace, and aircraft activity. Proximity alone does not establish authorization.

John Wayne Airport (SNA)

Orange County, California · outside the city where noted

Official facility information

Include the airport in the review for relevant Orange County sites. Current airspace maps, flight volume, and the operation determine requirements.

Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos

Los Alamitos, California · military installation

Official facility information

Review installation restrictions, military aviation activity, and any required military permission separately from civilian airspace authorization and ground consent.

FAA airspace authorization

Where the flight area requires controlled-airspace authorization, we identify the applicable FAA process. LAANC may be available for eligible operations; airspace authorization for operations using an operational waiver follows the FAA’s designated process through FAADroneZone. An airport phone call is not a substitute for the required FAA authorization.

FAA authorization guidance

Stadiums & event restrictions

Qualifying sporting events can trigger temporary flight restrictions affecting stadiums and surrounding areas. We review the applicable notices and show timing; venue permission or a routine airspace authorization alone does not remove these restrictions.

Show operations & ground permissions

The show plan also determines operational waiver requirements, including a multiple-aircraft waiver where one pilot operates multiple drones. New operational waiver applications use the FAA’s Aviation Safety Hub. Venue and landowner permission, crowd separation, and any local event permits are handled alongside the aviation review.

FAA waiver guidance

Anaheim Resort flight restrictions

Review current Disneyland-area flight restrictions for the full flight volume and operation. Neither venue approval nor airport coordination establishes permission within a restricted area.

California State Parks drone guidance

District rules, park management plans, commercial activity, and land-use permissions must be checked for the specific park. A park event reservation does not establish flight permission.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Anaheim?

Can a show be planned near the Anaheim Resort?

Share the precise venue and proposed viewing area. The resort area has special aviation restrictions, alongside airport airspace and ground permissions. We assess the complete operation and current notices before discussing feasibility; no resort-area clearance is implied.

Can you plan a drone show at my Anaheim venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside downtown Anaheim?

We can review event plans in Anaheim and surrounding communities, including Irvine, Long Beach, Los Angeles. Each property needs its own assessment of access, audience positions, airspace, and flight space.

Can the show include our logo, names, or music?

Yes. We design formations, colors, animation, and choreography around your story. Tell us which brand elements, personal details, and music matter to the event so we can discuss the creative direction.

How much does an event in Anaheim cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
