Made for this moment

A woven story. Shared in light.
At sky scale.

Bradford’s textile history, Little Germany and City Park offer a strong visual vocabulary for an original entertainment sequence. Lister Park and sporting gatherings bring different audiences together. We review the actual launch land, viewing direction and aviation requirements before shaping the detailed performance.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Your occasion sets the direction. We shape the creative around it.

Show imagery illustrates creative possibilities, rather than performances at specific Bradford venues.

Rooted in Bradford

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

A pattern that grows like woven cloth

Lines crossing and separating can draw on Bradford’s textile history for an anniversary or civic celebration. The sequence should tell your event’s story through movement, with any written or promotional content reviewed separately under U.K. rules.

Little Germany as inspiration

Little Germany’s historic warehouses offer an architectural rhythm for the creative brief. Those streets also have buildings and public access that may constrain production. Inspiration from the neighbourhood does not mean a show can launch or fly there.

Reflection and light at City Park

City Park’s Mirror Pool and fountains give gatherings a recognisable civic setting. A proposed aerial component needs a separate ground and flight assessment, including water features, public movement and surrounding buildings, rather than borrowing assumptions from an existing light installation.

Community colour in Lister Park

Lister Park’s lantern parade connects art, music and a shared outdoor experience. For your own event, trees, paths, water and wildlife belong in the site plan. The park’s established programme does not imply Starbound involvement or launch permission.

A sporting gathering at Valley Parade

Valley Parade provides a football setting within a developed neighbourhood. An aerial proposal needs stadium coordination, clear guest sightlines beyond the roof and access to appropriate separate land. The event’s crowd movements and surrounding homes matter.

From city centre to surrounding landscapes

Private celebrations around Bradford, Shipley or Bingley can have very different terrain and tree cover. The exact property determines crew access, audience orientation and airspace review. A rural-looking view does not remove nearby aviation requirements.

Civic park & fountain square

City Park

Bradford, England

Assess the Mirror Pool, fountain operation, surrounding buildings and public access with the council. A civic event booking does not establish launch rights.

Historic park & community-event setting

Lister Park

Bradford, England

Review mature trees, water, wildlife and everyday public use with park management. The event area must support suitable guest and flight separation.

Football stadium

University of Bradford Stadium, Valley Parade

Bradford, England

Confirm current stadium arrangements with Bradford City. Roofs, surrounding streets and neighbouring properties constrain possible views and ground-control options.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& CAA authorisations.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

We review current U.K. aeronautical information, NOTAMs, restricted airspace and aerodrome Flight Restriction Zones against the full flight area, altitude and date. Civilian and military activity, temporary restrictions and ground permissions each form part of the plan.

Leeds Bradford Airport

Yeadon, Leeds · outside Bradford city

Official facility information

An important regional airport for Bradford proposals. Check the current FRZ and flight footprint using the operator’s information; CAA operational authorisation is a distinct requirement.

Leeds East Airport

Church Fenton, North Yorkshire · outside the Bradford metro

Official facility information

A wider-region aerodrome for proposals extending east across Yorkshire. Check current charts and its relationship to nearby Sherburn activity for the actual site.

RAF Leeming

North Yorkshire · wider region, outside the Bradford metro

Official facility information

A wider Yorkshire military reference. Its local restrictions must not be treated as a blanket rule for Bradford; review military activity relevant to the proposed operation.

CAA operational authorisation

A swarm display needs an authorisation appropriate to the operation. We review the proposed fleet, flight volume, crowd separation and operating conditions against the applicable Specific Category requirements and current CAA swarm guidance.

CAA swarm guidance

Airspace & aerodrome permission

Operational authorisation and permission to use restricted airspace are separate. We check FRZ boundaries, other restrictions and the relevant aerodrome or air traffic permission process, including NATS where applicable. A NOTAM is a notice, not a flight permission.

NATS flight application guidance

Creative content & ground permissions

Landowner consent, council event requirements and the proposed display content need their own review. CAA guidance flags aerial advertising restrictions under section 82 of the Civil Aviation Act; operational authorisation does not settle those requirements.

City Park public access

The park is a public space with active water features and event closures. Coordinate ground use and the performance proposal with the operator.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Bradford?

Can a Bradford show be inspired by textile heritage?

Yes. Repeating lines, interlacing forms and colour transitions can provide an entertainment-led starting point. We develop an original sequence for your audience, review proposed content and assess the specific site rather than assume a historic mill or civic square is flight-ready.

Can you plan a drone show at my Bradford venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside central Bradford?

We welcome enquiries for Bradford and the surrounding area. Leeds is a separate city. Shipley, Bingley and Keighley are within the wider Bradford district and require their own site assessments. Share the venue address, date and audience layout so we can assess the specific proposal.

What creative content can a U.K. show include?

We can explore shapes, colour, movement and music for an entertainment-led display. The CAA highlights restrictions on aerial advertising and other communications under section 82 of the Civil Aviation Act. Logos, QR codes and written messages need particular review; an operational authorisation alone does not establish that the content is lawful.

How much does an event in Bradford cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
