Made for this moment

A Lisburn pattern. A shared finale.
At sky scale.

Castle Gardens, Wallace Park and the wider Balmoral Park event setting bring together different Lisburn-area audiences. We can build an original entertainment sequence around your occasion while reviewing the actual venue, viewing direction and controlled operating space. Nearby Belfast aviation and military installations remain distinct parts of that assessment.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Whatever brings you together.

Your occasion sets the direction. We shape the creative around it.

Show imagery illustrates creative possibilities, rather than performances at specific Lisburn venues.

Rooted in Lisburn

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

A pattern inspired by linen

Lisburn’s linen heritage offers a creative reference of interlacing lines and repeated forms. For an anniversary or civic occasion, those ideas can grow into an original display. Any written or promotional content is reviewed separately under U.K. rules.

A seasonal gathering in Castle Gardens

The city’s light-trail programme shows how an evening walk can bring people together. Your own aerial proposal needs a separate assessment of trees, historic surroundings, paths and launch land. We do not imply participation in the existing trail.

A Wallace Park audience

Wallace Park supports recreation and seasonal community events. The viewing area, public routes and everyday sports use need to fit the production plan. A park’s event history does not mean it provides a suitable separated space for a drone performance.

A larger gathering at Balmoral Park

The Eikon Exhibition Centre and Balmoral Park provide a different scale of event campus outside central Lisburn. An aerial element needs suitable outdoor guest positions and operator-approved launch control. Indoor exhibition space is not an open-sky performance area.

A company evening with an outdoor ending

For a staff reception, expressive shapes and a musical arc can create a shared final moment. The practical plan must connect indoor hospitality with outdoor viewing, while neighbouring property, access and proposed communications receive their own review.

Military sites and airport activity are separate

Lisburn’s wider setting includes sensitive military interests as well as Belfast-area aviation. Landowner consent does not resolve security or airspace restrictions. We review current information against the full operating volume and event date before confirming a proposal.

Seasonal light events provide context, not drone permission. Trees, historic fabric and public paths may limit launch and viewing options.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& CAA authorisations.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

We review current U.K. aeronautical information, NOTAMs, restricted airspace and aerodrome Flight Restriction Zones against the full flight area, altitude and date. Civilian and military activity, temporary restrictions and ground permissions each form part of the plan.

George Best Belfast City Airport

Belfast · outside Lisburn

Official facility information

Review current airspace and the airport process where relevant to the exact Lisburn-area operation. A nearby-city label is not a determination of permission requirements.

Belfast International Airport

Aldergrove, County Antrim · outside Lisburn

Official facility information

A separate civilian airport whose airspace and activity must be assessed for the actual proposal. NATS lists an application route for relevant operations.

Joint Helicopter Command Flying Station Aldergrove

County Antrim · outside Lisburn

Official facility information

Military flying activity and security requirements are distinct from civilian airport and event-land permissions.

CAA operational authorisation

A swarm display needs an authorisation appropriate to the operation. We review the proposed fleet, flight volume, crowd separation and operating conditions against the applicable Specific Category requirements and current CAA swarm guidance.

Airspace & aerodrome permission

Operational authorisation and permission to use restricted airspace are separate. We check FRZ boundaries, other restrictions and the relevant aerodrome or air traffic permission process, including NATS where applicable. A NOTAM is a notice, not a flight permission.

Creative content & ground permissions

Landowner consent, council event requirements and the proposed display content need their own review. CAA guidance flags aerial advertising restrictions under section 82 of the Civil Aviation Act; operational authorisation does not settle those requirements.

Lisburn park use

Council park information identifies the managed gardens and opening arrangements. Discuss the proposed event and production use with the relevant manager.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Lisburn?

Can an exhibition or showground booking include a drone finale?

The booking does not establish aerial feasibility. We need an agreed outdoor audience position, suitable launch and recovery land, separation from other activities and the applicable CAA and airspace permissions. Livestock, traffic and neighbouring property may also affect the proposal.

Can you plan a drone show at my Lisburn venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside central Lisburn?

We welcome enquiries for Lisburn and the surrounding area. Belfast, Hillsborough, Moira and Dromore are separate places. Balmoral Park is outside the central Lisburn setting, and each property needs its own assessment. Share the venue address, date and audience layout so we can assess the specific proposal.

What creative content can a U.K. show include?

We can explore shapes, colour, movement and music for an entertainment-led display. The CAA highlights restrictions on aerial advertising and other communications under section 82 of the Civil Aviation Act. Logos, QR codes and written messages need particular review; an operational authorisation alone does not establish that the content is lawful.

How much does an event in Lisburn cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
