Made for this moment

Oklahoma City, in your own light.
At sky scale.

A convention reception near Scissortail Park, a Bricktown celebration, and a Boathouse District gathering call for different stories and site plans. We connect the show to your audience, then review the view, launch space, aircraft environment, and event schedule for the actual location.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Rooted in Oklahoma City

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

An evening that starts in Bricktown

Bricktown’s canal, restaurants, and ballpark make a lively context for a gathering. A sequence could trace a journey before resolving into your event’s message. The canal and surrounding streets also concentrate public movement, so we assess the intended viewing point and a distinct operating footprint.

A convention message beyond the stage

For a downtown company gathering, a product silhouette or milestone can become a closing reveal outdoors. We review how guests reach the viewing area and how nearby buildings frame the sky. Scissortail Park is one setting to discuss with its operator, rather than an assumed extension of a conference booking.

A river gathering with its own rhythm

The Boathouse District connects competition and recreation on the Oklahoma River. For an organizer-led celebration, the creative could build from motion into a shared final image. We review boats, trails, bridges, lighting, and waterside access; the river is not automatically available as a flight or recovery area.

Give the home crowd a shared image

A Thunder fan gathering or Comets celebration can center on approved colors and graphics. Indoor arena audiences need an exterior viewing plan, while a ballpark concept requires review of lighting and event circulation. Current restrictions depend on the specific event and flight volume, not simply the venue’s sporting use.

A civic celebration that reads from the lawn

Scissortail’s performance lawn and the civic setting around Bicentennial Park suggest different audience arrangements. For a holiday or community finale, we design broad, readable formations around the agreed view. Trees, stage roofs, traffic, and the space reserved for aircraft determine how the concept can fit.

A personal celebration across the metro

A wedding in Edmond or a private event toward Yukon can tell a smaller story through names, a date, or a shared symbol. Open-looking property still needs an assessment of access, neighboring land, guest separation, and nearby aircraft. Wind conditions and weather contingencies are part of the proposed production plan.

Performance lawn & civic park

Scissortail Park — Love’s Travel Stops Stage & Great Lawn

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Coordinate with the park operator on public circulation, trees, stage roof, lake boundaries, and a separate launch footprint. A rental does not authorize flight.

Baseball park

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Review field and stand sightlines, lights, event scheduling, surrounding buildings, and guest separation. The ballpark’s presence does not establish an available launch site.

Review water users, race schedules, trails, bridges, lighting, land access, and the exact audience view with the operator.

A proposed aerial show needs an exterior viewing arrangement. Review crowd routes, surrounding roads, neighboring property, and event timing with the operator.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& FAA approvals.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

For each proposed show, we check current FAA maps, NOTAMs, temporary flight restrictions, and the complete flight area. Nearby airports and military facilities are part of that review, alongside other local aviation activity.

OKC Will Rogers International Airport (OKC)

Southwest Oklahoma City

Official facility information

Use the current airport name and current FAA maps when reviewing the full flight area, altitude, and timing. Terminal distance alone does not determine authorization.

Wiley Post Airport (PWA)

Northwest Oklahoma City

Official facility information

Corporate, general aviation, and training activity belong in northwest-area site review. Check current airspace and notices for the precise proposed show.

Tinker Air Force Base

Oklahoma City / Midwest City area · military installation

Official facility information

The installation publishes a no-drone policy. Review protected boundaries, military operations, and specific authorization requirements separately from ground permits and civilian FAA processes.

FAA airspace authorization

Where the flight area requires controlled-airspace authorization, we identify the applicable FAA process. LAANC may be available for eligible operations; airspace authorization for operations using an operational waiver follows the FAA’s designated process through FAADroneZone. An airport phone call is not a substitute for the required FAA authorization.

FAA authorization guidance

Stadiums & event restrictions

Qualifying sporting events can trigger temporary flight restrictions affecting stadiums and surrounding areas. We review the applicable notices and show timing; venue permission or a routine airspace authorization alone does not remove these restrictions.

FAA stadium guidance

Show operations & ground permissions

The show plan also determines operational waiver requirements, including a multiple-aircraft waiver where one pilot operates multiple drones. New operational waiver applications use the FAA’s Aviation Safety Hub. Venue and landowner permission, crowd separation, and any local event permits are handled alongside the aviation review.

Oklahoma City special-event planning

Coordinate street, park, and public-event requirements through the city’s relevant offices. The event site plan and landowner permission are separate from aviation approvals.

Downtown parks, river venues, and suburban properties need separate reviews. Water activity, highways, public trails, airport airspace, and Tinker restrictions can affect different sites in different ways.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Oklahoma City?

Can a show accompany an Oklahoma River event?

The water view is only one part of feasibility. We assess the audience position, boats and trails, bridges, ground access, nearby aviation, and a defined flight and recovery area. Operator permission and the required aviation approvals must both fit the proposed date and operation.

Can you plan a drone show at my Oklahoma City venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside downtown Oklahoma City?

We welcome enquiries for Oklahoma City and communities including Edmond, Moore, Norman, Midwest City, Del City, Yukon. Each proposed site needs its own flight, access, and audience review.

Can the show include our logo, names, or music?

Yes. We design formations, colors, animation, and choreography around your story. Tell us which brand elements, personal details, and music matter to the event so we can discuss the creative direction.

How much does an event in Oklahoma City cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
