Made for this moment

Let the evening tell your story.
At sky scale.

Branson’s live-entertainment traditions and waterfront gatherings offer different starting points for a show. We work from your occasion’s music, people, and message, then review the exact property, terrain, audience position, and airspace before confirming how a display could fit.

Starbound Labs designs the show and brings the performance together. Our Spectra drones, in-house firmware, and Starbound OS software connect the creative work with the fleet and team on the ground.

Rooted in Branson

A show with a sense of place.

Local inspiration. A story made for your audience.

An encore beyond the stage

Branson’s outdoor drama and concert settings suggest a finale that grows from the evening’s music. We can develop a sequence around your event’s story while coordinating playback, house lighting, audience direction, and the operator’s production schedule. No existing venue relationship is implied.

A waterfront view with a defined audience

A gathering near Branson Landing can take inspiration from Lake Taneycomo and downtown’s evening activity. The practical plan must account for the boardwalk, boat traffic, fountain programming, occupied areas, and a separate flight footprint rather than assuming water provides empty operating space.

Bring the convention story outside

For a meeting or company celebration at the Branson Convention Center, a closing display could extend the event’s central message into an outdoor guest experience. We first establish where guests could gather and whether separate ground and airspace permissions make the proposed setting feasible.

A reunion with an Ozarks signature

A family gathering can move from simple shapes into a name, date, or symbol your guests recognize. Branson’s hills and wooded properties call for an early look at viewing angles and tree lines so the final image can be designed for the people actually watching.

A celebration beside Table Rock Lake

A wedding or resort event toward Indian Point or Ridgedale has different geography from downtown Taneycomo. Property boundaries, shoreline administration, terrain, nearby rooms and homes, and boats all enter the feasibility review before we develop a show around your celebration.

Plan around the whole evening

Concert arrivals, theatre departures, public access, and changing conditions can affect a Branson event. Share your schedule and precise venue address early; Branson Airport, M. Graham Clark–Taney County Airport, and Branson West Airport are distinct facilities that need location-specific review.

Branson, Missouri

Discuss event programming and ground consent with the operator. Boardwalk users, fountain activity, adjacent businesses, boats, and nearby airport operations require a specific feasibility review.

Outdoor theatre & entertainment setting

The Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Theater

Branson, Missouri

An established outdoor drama setting. Any separate display concept needs operator agreement and review of wooded terrain, performance activity, animals, audience positions, and suitable launch land.

Official venue website

Outdoor amphitheater & concert setting

Thunder Ridge Nature Arena

Ridgedale, Missouri · outside Branson

This regional venue is in Ridgedale. Review wooded slopes, the actual concert layout, access, surrounding land, and airspace with the operator; lake views do not establish launch permission.

Convention venue & outdoor event context

Branson Convention Center

Branson, Missouri

The indoor convention venue is a starting point for an event enquiry, not an indoor drone-show proposal. Any outdoor component needs separately suitable gathering space, launch land, and waterfront permissions.

The airspace is part of the plan

Airports, airspace
& FAA approvals.

The right starting point is your exact venue, launch location, show height, and date.

For each proposed show, we check current FAA maps, NOTAMs, temporary flight restrictions, and the complete flight area. Nearby airports and military facilities are part of that review, alongside other local aviation activity.

Branson Airport (BKG / BBG)

Hollister area, Missouri · south of Branson

Official facility information

A separate facility from Springfield-Branson National. Assess the proposed flight area, altitude, aircraft activity, and current notices for southern Branson and Ridgedale event plans.

M. Graham Clark–Taney County Airport (PLK)

Point Lookout / Hollister area, Missouri · near downtown Branson

Official facility information

Include this county airport in reviews around downtown and Lake Taneycomo. A Branson event address does not by itself determine the applicable airspace requirements.

Branson West Municipal Airport–Emerson Field (FWB)

Branson West, Missouri · outside Branson

Official facility information

The operator identifies a city-owned public-use airport in Stone County. Review it separately for western-area and Table Rock Lake proposals.

Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF)

Springfield, Missouri · wider region north of Branson

Official facility information

The shared regional name does not put this airport in Branson. It becomes a separate consideration when event plans extend toward Springfield, with controlled airspace and mixed civilian/military traffic.

FAA airspace authorization

Where the flight area requires controlled-airspace authorization, we identify the applicable FAA process. LAANC may be available for eligible operations; airspace authorization for operations using an operational waiver follows the FAA’s designated process through FAADroneZone. An airport phone call is not a substitute for the required FAA authorization.

FAA authorization guidance

Stadiums & event restrictions

Qualifying sporting events can trigger temporary flight restrictions affecting stadiums and surrounding areas. We review the applicable notices and show timing; venue permission or a routine airspace authorization alone does not remove these restrictions.

FAA stadium guidance

Show operations & ground permissions

The show plan also determines operational waiver requirements, including a multiple-aircraft waiver where one pilot operates multiple drones. New operational waiver applications use the FAA’s Aviation Safety Hub. Venue and landowner permission, crowd separation, and any local event permits are handled alongside the aviation review.

FAA waiver guidance

Conservation-area ground permissions

Missouri Department of Conservation requires a special-use permit for drone launch, landing, or operation at its conservation areas. Confirm the actual land manager; this does not authorize a commercial display or replace FAA review.

State park rules and drone guidance

A state park, private resort, municipal waterfront, and federally managed shoreline have different ground permissions. Check current rules with the relevant manager for the actual parcel.

A few things you might be wondering

Planning a show
in Branson?

Can a Branson waterfront venue automatically host a drone show?

No. Waterfront views do not establish launch rights or a suitable flight area. We review airport activity, shoreline ownership, boats, public paths, neighboring properties, terrain, and audience separation. Venue consent, FAA requirements, and any park or water-management permissions are separate, and availability depends on the exact operation.

Can you plan a drone show at my Branson venue?

Start by sharing the address, event date, and any venue information you have. We review the proposed launch area, audience viewing position, access, surrounding airspace, and site conditions before confirming whether a show is feasible.

Do you work outside downtown Branson?

Hollister, Branson West, Indian Point, and Ridgedale are separate communities. Branson Landing is on Lake Taneycomo; a Table Rock Lake property needs its own site review. Springfield is a separate regional guide farther north.

Can the show include our logo, names, or music?

Yes. We design formations, colors, animation, and choreography around your story. Tell us which brand elements, personal details, and music matter to the event so we can discuss the creative direction.

How much does an event in Branson cost?

Pricing depends on the number of drones, creative scope, event location, travel, and production requirements. Share your plans and we’ll prepare a quote for your event.

How far ahead should we get in touch?

Contact us as soon as you have a date and a possible venue. Early planning gives us time to review the location, develop the show, and coordinate the event requirements. Availability depends on your date and production needs.

What happens if the weather changes?

Weather is part of the planning and show-day review. We discuss operating conditions and contingency arrangements with you before the event; the final decision to fly depends on conditions on the day.
